Love that texture paste!

Hello

It's been pouring torrential rain for 2 days now. So since I can't really do much else why not make more cards!

This card was made using Simon Says Stamp Tiny Dots stencil & Ranger Texture Paste for the background. I used my distress markers to ink some flowers from Simon Says Stamp Friendly Flowers, spritzed with water & stamped on watercolour cardstock. Same with the stems & leaves. I used the co-ordinating die set to cut the flowers and layered on the texture background. Sentiment was from the same set and was stamped on a die cut panel from My Favourite Things.

Hello again

My second post for today. I have just finished a card for CAS-ual Fridays Challenge 136

I made this card with one of the flowers from the new Dina Wakley Scribbly Flowers set. The flower was stamped in Archival Jet Black ink on watercolour paper & coloured with Gansai Tambi watercolours. I finished the card with a die-cut word from Simon Says Stamp & matching sentiment.

Thanks for visiting.

Just because

Hello

I was playing around with Hero Arts Hello Sunshine gerbera daisies.

I used distress markers to ink the daisies, spritzed with water & stamped on watercolour paper. I added some more highlights after with a water brush & more distress ink then finished with some splatters. Sentiment is from the same set and was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black. I adhered the panel to a Hero Arts folded card. Love these cards because they are white on the inside making it quick & easy to add some extra messages etc.

More christmas cards

Hello

In keeping with my commitment to try & get as many Christmas cards done before the end of the year, I have another one layer. One layer makes for easy postage but I also think it forces a little creativity being so restricted.

With this card I used watercolour paper, stamped with Versamark and embossed in gold. I coloured the ornaments with Gansai Tambi watercolours using their gorgeous gold & silver. The silver actually comes out looking more like a pearly white which is so pretty. Next image is a little easier to see the gorgeous sheen. Background was coloured with same watercolours using freehand to create rectangle.

I finished with a Heidi Swapp stencil and Studio 490 gold embossing paste for the stars.

Runway Inspired Challenge

Hello

This card was made for the Runway Inspired Challenge # 77

Loved this gorgeous gown and was inspired by the beautiful flowers & the whole geometric thing going on.

Couldn't go past those beautiful Altenew Peony Scrolls as they seemed perfect for the card but unfortunately the flowers look more lime green on the card than the lovely yellow that they are. The card actually looks a lot softer and quite pretty in real life and the card base is a nice slate grey rather than the almost black it looks here. Have to work on my photography/photoshop skills lol. I used the Tim Holtz Rays stencil and masked small stripes of each ray before sponging with Memento Summer Sky. Then did the same thing in between each blue stripe with Archival Watering Can ink. The word was cut 3 times and stacked for dimension and the flowers were coloured with Peerless Watercolours.

Thanks for visiting.

Sending love

Hello

Yep, today we've got more texture paste!

I made this card for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - All Things Bright & Beautiful.
First I die-cut a heart from paper and used the negative to tape over my card front. Using Hero Arts Rain Dance stencil I applied Ranger Texture Paste. I cleaned the stencil straight up but then taped it back into position once paste was dry. I used 3 different shades of distress inks to colour the texture paste with ink distressing tools. The flower is from Hero Arts Making the World a Better Place clear stamp set. I stamped on watercolour paper and used my Peerless watercolours before cutting out flower & leaves. The sentiment is from the same set. A touch of Stickles Star Dust was added to flower centre and stamens.

Thanks for visiting.

Valentines Shaker

Hello

Some health issues & overseeing a renovation have meant my creative time has had to take a back seat to everything else. For the moment I'm back & just in time to meet a couple of challenge deadlines!
I'm not a big Valentines person but have made a few cards so far this year for challenges. It's all about working outside your comfort zone lol!
This next card uses the very cute Mama Elephant Pandamonium set which I love. This set has so many options other than Valentines cards & is perfect for CAS. Those cute pandas say it all!

The heart was die-cut with Little B Hearts set. The background stripes were stamped using Mama Elephant Basic Borders in 4 different ink colours. I used fun foam (as suggested by Jennifer McGuire) to create the shaker, so much better than fiddling with foam tape. Unless you have bulkier beads or other items this stuff speeds up the whole shaker process. The sentiment is also from the Pandamonium set as well.
I am entering this into the following challenges -

Curtain Call - Kissing Booth
