In trying to keep with my commitment to make Christmas cards early I thought I would enter Muse: Christmas Visions 12
Here is Marika's gorgeous inspiration card -
Since I don't have any cute Christmas stamps I took my inspiration from the gifts & colours.
I tried to recreate the pinks & lilacs in a watercolour piece which I die-cut with Simon Says Stamp Brilliant gifts die. I also die-cut from silver foil cardstock as well and used that as the outline of the gifts to inlay the watercolour pieces. I decided to keep the card very CAS but literally had to sit on my hands as the temptation to add some handrawn spots, glitter or some sort of bling was overwhelming, lol! Instinct was telling me I was probably going to mess it up and I wasn't prepared to glue down all those little pieces again so I took the "less is more" approach. I finished with a PTI sentiment.
Thanks for visiting.
