Day I Class Card 2

Hello

As you can see I'm running a little behind with my homework for Online Card Classes Watercolour Intermediate. We are up to day 3 & I'm barely finding time to post samples from day 1 & 2. However in saying that I'm not rushing & am making myself practice until I'm happy I've grasped what we've learnt. No creativity in putting these cards together either as most I will keep as reference cards anyway.
I really enjoyed this technique & although my brush was a little too wide I'm still reasonable happy with the results. I enjoyed mixing the paints & really getting the feel of the Winsor & Newton artist grade paint.

I would be happy to do more of this type of background using a smaller brush & experimenting with different colours as I found it very soothing.

Thanks for visiting.

  1. I'm pretty sure I couldn't do this to save my life. Wow! Those colors are fantastic, and the design of each diamond is incredible. Your watercoloring looks pretty darn awesome to me. I'm very impressed and I'd give you an A+ if I were the teacher! Great card. Bev

  6. I'm so behind, I haven't even started yet! Life got in the way of my taking the class this week, but I'm so glad the course will be waiting for me when I do find time to work on it. This piece of yours is just delightful. Congratulations, and good luck with your painting endeavors!

  8. Adding my voice to the others: you have a real talent for water-colouring (I'm not even going to try anymore...so frustrating!). You've created a gorgeous background for your pretty happy sentiment. Soooo impressive!
