Lately I have been playing around with creating different types of backgrounds which is something I have always loved to do. I really like how you can start off with something in mind & end up with something completely different nine times out of ten! plus you end up with lots of pattern pieces for future projects.
The patterned piece on this next card started with Gelatos on watercolour paper.
I applied 3 colours of Gelatos and blended with a wet brush and also with my finger. When that was dry I taped the Tim Holtz Doily stencil on top & sprayed with Prima Color Bloom Gold Foil spray. It is hard to see in the photo but it has a lovely soft gold metallic pattern over the Gelatos. For the vellum flower & leaves I used Winnie & Walter's In Bloom - Addie's Garden. I stamped on vellum with Versamark & embossed with Zing Gold embossing powder then fussy cut. To complete the card I die-cut one edge of gold metallic card with the middle sized Lawn Fawn Stitched Scallop Border and adhered that & the patterned piece to the card. To adhere the vellum flower & leaves I carefully applied adhesive under the embossed lines so the adhesive wouldn't show through. The die cut word was cut twice from Bazzill Bling metallic card & stacked for dimension. Of course it wouldn't be finished without some sparkle & bling so I added some coordinating sequins.
I am entering this into Sparkle & Shine Challenge # 7 using their challenge sketch as inspiration.
Thanks for visiting.
